Yesterday I had a doctor appointment in Madison Heights for migraine headaches. They increased my Imitrex medication. Then increased my sleeping pills. I was taking 4 sleeping pills, now they gave me 1 big sleeping pill. I'm a little worried about swallowing it. They increased another blood pressure pill too. Hopefully it will help so I don't get so many headaches. Now I'm taking 3 Imitrex a week. The doctors don't want me to have as many headaches because they make me throw up. my headaches are getting more severe.
I slept on the way to the appointment and ate Cheetos and Funyons on the way back. They were good! My mom & dad watched me eat them so I wouldn't choke. I had a coke on may lap too so if I did I could take a drink.

I’m back at school. My summer was good. I went to summer school and my favorite part was meeting new kids. I got to go swimming on the last week of summer school. I went to MD camp the 2nd week of summer school. My favorite part was getting to know people. It was nice to see old friends. At summer school we read a book, talked to other kids, and did some jobs. During summer school we had to change buildings because the first building had no air conditioning. I liked being in the Alma high school better than Hillcrest.
In August I had my 21st birthday!!! I celebrated with a birthday party at my house. Friends from Fulton High School came to see me. I had chocolate birthday cake. I got many gifts, but my favorites were an angel necklace and a Michigan State blanket. All my food had to be pureed, birthday cake too.

I like to go to learn at school. I like to go to therapy. I like to go to VAD summer
camp. I like to eat hotdogs, chicken potatoes, peaches, and Jello. I
like to drink chocolate milkshakes. I
like to laugh and smile a lot. I like to go to Church every Sunday morning. I like to go for walks in my walker. I like to get on my laptop computer on face
book. I like to go around my town in my
wheelchair.
On Thursday last week was field day. I did dancing and
bowling, floor hockey, obstacle course, and big ball toss.
I walked and walked all day. My
favorite was floor hockey. I was tired
at the end of the day! I had fun!

Things I enjoy are VAD summer camp Volunteers Assisting the
Disabled. At camp we swim and do bowling games. We also have a dance and closing cermonys. My favorite part is the dance because of the
cute boys. I enjoy bowling at school. I
enjoy being around friends.
My
dreams are that I would have a cure for this disease. That I could walk and stand without
help. And not sit in a wheelchair all
day. I also have a dream to go to Disney
World. The farthest I’ve ever been is Cincinnati,
Ohio. I went to Ohio to see Martina
McBride from Make A Wish Foundation. It
was a big surprise! And I loved it.

The way that I get around is I use a power wheelchair and a walker. I like to use the walker. I like to use my
power wheelchair.
I struggle with eating.
It is difficult because my jaw and mouth get tired. It takes me an hour to eat a meal. My food has to be pureed, even hamburgers and
steaks. Everything looks like baby
food. It’s hard for me to swallow
pills. Very hard! I take 13 pills in the
morning, some are new pills. I take one
at 11 and 3 a 1:00. And more at
night. Almost 30 every day. That’s a lot
of pills! I drink out of a straw. If my
mouth is dry, it’s harder for me to drink. It’s harder to get the suction for
the straw. Have you ever had chocolate cake pureed? You should try it sometime.
I like chocolate ice cream. Ice cream is easier, you don’t have to puree it. I’ve
been standing for 40 minutes that I have been writing this.

Wednesday was pretty boring. I sat in the recliner all day because I had a snow day. I had to ask to be taken to the bathroom and I needed help taking a shower. Thursday morning, today I was in therapy. They stretched my left leg. Now I feel tired. Next Tuesday I am going up to 10 minutes on the treadmill. One person has to stand beside me and I hold myself up with my arms. This is so I can strengthen my legs for standing and walking.
